Kate Workroom
Personalized room and small-space concepts shaped from your photos, lifestyle, memories, colors, and budget — with a clear visual direction you can actually recreate.
A room story can begin with a photo, a color, a souvenir, an artwork, or one feeling you want to come home to.
From photo to feeling
Palette · textiles · art · budget-friendly styling
Whether it is your own room, a rental that needs warmth, or a small client-facing studio, the concept starts with the same question: what should this space help people feel?
Bedrooms, living rooms, creative corners, family rooms, and everyday spaces that need more warmth, identity, and rhythm — we start from who you are and build the concept around your colors and the feeling you're missing.
Start your home conceptBudget-friendly concepts for plain rentals, guest rooms, and Airbnb spaces that need to feel more finished, memorable, and welcoming — working within your real constraints and what you can actually change.
Start your rental conceptVisual concepts for beauty studios, service rooms, and client-facing corners that need a clearer mood, palette, and first impression — so your space communicates care and calm the moment someone walks in.
Start your business conceptNot a full renovation. Not a random AI room.
A personal visual concept that connects your room, your lifestyle, your colors, your memories, and your budget — then turns them into a room direction you can actually use.
You do not always need a full renovation plan to change how a room feels. Sometimes the shift comes from color, softer light, layered textiles, meaningful art, and knowing what to change first.
Kate Workroom gives you a personal visual direction you can actually use — what to add, what to soften, what colors to repeat, and which details will make the space feel more like you.
Not a random inspiration board — a room story with a clear next step.
Everything you need to understand the mood, palette, details, and first steps.
This is not a full architectural or renovation project. It is a visual concept for people who want clarity before they decorate, shop, or refresh their space.
No renovation planning · No architectural drawings · No structural work · No full-service design fees
Every concept starts from a person — their personality, memories, colors, and the feeling they want to wake up to. These are four of those stories.
Case 01 · Personal Space · Travel Memory
A travel memory became the color story: lemon yellow, coastal blue, cream textiles, an olive tree, and warm light turned a plain room into something personal.
A couple in a simple neutral apartment wanted the space to feel warmer, more personal, and connected to a Mediterranean travel memory.
The room felt plain, gray, and unfinished. The existing neutral fabric looked cold because nothing around it gave the room rhythm or color.
A travel memory, coastal blue, lemon yellow, olive greenery, and a souvenir-plate feeling became the starting point for the concept.
Cream textiles, coastal blue accents, lemon art, warm light, an olive tree, layered pillows, and a small gallery wall made the room feel personal without renovation.
Visual concept, color story, textile and lighting notes, shopping/action list, estimated implementation budget, and a custom printable artwork gift.
Package shown: Personalized Refresh — $55.
Case 02 · Personal Space · Calm Bedroom
An overstimulated remote worker needed a true sanctuary. The concept added warmth through curtains, soft bedding, sage and clay accents, greenery, and framed artwork.
An overstimulated remote worker needed the bedroom to feel like a soft sanctuary, not another extension of a stressful day.
The room was usable but emotionally flat. It did not feel restful, layered, or intentionally calm.
The concept needed softness, grounded color, warmer evenings, and a quieter rhythm without replacing major furniture.
Warm minimal bedding, muted sage, dusty clay, taupe, soft curtains, framed art, and greenery create a rested, grounded mood.
Bedroom mood direction, color palette, textile recommendations, lighting notes, priority shopping list, and a custom printable artwork gift.
Package shown: Personalized Refresh — $55.
Case 03 · Personal Space · Creative Room
A creative room built from the artwork up: deep navy, bottle green, a gallery wall, patterned rug, and expressive textiles that inspire without becoming a mood board.
A creative woman wanted a bedroom that felt expressive and artistic, but not chaotic or overloaded.
The room had potential, but it lacked identity. It did not reflect her taste, art, or creative life.
The concept starts from artwork: deep color, expressive rhythm, and a more confident personal palette.
Deep navy, bottle green, terracotta, patterned rug, gallery wall, and controlled textile repetition make the room creative but livable.
Art-led palette, moodboard direction, wall and textile logic, shopping/action list, and a custom printable artwork gift.
Package shown: Full Visual Refresh — $95.
Case 04 · Personal Space · Pet-Friendly
A stylish adult living room that works for cats without looking childish: navy slipcover concept, mustard accents, graphic art, and better cat furniture placement.
A pet-loving client wanted a living room that respected cat life without becoming childish or themed.
The room felt flat and beige, while pet items looked separate from the overall style.
The space needed to feel adult, graphic, playful, and practical for real life with pets.
Navy slipcover direction, mustard accents, graphic cat art, stronger rug rhythm, and better placement create a stylish pet-friendly room.
Pet-friendly styling direction, color and pattern system, layout notes, shopping/action list, and a custom printable artwork gift.
Package shown: Personalized Refresh — $55.

"Sometimes a room doesn't need a full renovation. It needs the right color story, softer light, meaningful art, and a few details that finally make it feel like yours."
I'm Kate, the eye behind the workroom. I create warm, personality-based room concepts for people who want their space to feel more personal, beautiful, and emotionally aligned — without a full renovation or expensive interior design process.
My work starts from the person, not the room. What you love, how you live, what you want to feel when you walk through the door — then I translate that into color, textile, light, atmosphere, and practical details.
A guided questionnaire in a few simple steps. You can submit it even if your photos are not ready yet.
For the best result, prepare 2–3 style references, current room photos from several angles, daylight and evening photos if possible, and any personal object, artwork, or detail you want me to consider. No photos now? No problem — send the form first and I’ll follow up with simple instructions.
No. Kate Workroom is a visual concept and styling direction service — not technical interior design, renovation planning, or architectural work. You receive a visual direction, palette, recommendations, and a shopping list. Implementation is always your choice, at your own pace and budget.
Depending on the package: a visual room concept, color palette, mood direction, textile and lighting notes, before/after direction, a shopping and action list, budget estimates by category, and a custom printable digital artwork created to match your room's palette and story. The Personalized and Full packages include the most complete deliverables.
Shopping direction and budget estimates are included in the Personalized and Full Visual Refresh packages. Detailed sourcing from specific retailers (IKEA, Amazon, Target) is available as a paid add-on. The Mini Concept includes styling recommendations but not sourcing links.
Yes. Rental rooms are one of the three core directions. The concept focuses entirely on changes that don't require permanent modifications — textiles, lighting, art, plants, layout, and decor. You tell me what cannot be changed, and the concept works within those limits.
Yes — and this is often where the most meaningful work begins. A travel souvenir, a piece of art you love, a photo from a trip, a specific memory of how a place felt. These personal anchors often become the entire foundation for the room's color story and atmosphere.
No. The shopping and action list is built in priority order — the changes that create the biggest visual and emotional difference first. You can implement the full concept or start with just the top three items. The concept is designed to work at any pace and any budget level.
Yes. The Product Selection Review add-on covers exactly this — reviewing specific items you've found to confirm they match the concept. Ongoing Styling Support is also available for clients who want continued guidance during implementation.
Yes. Beauty studios, wellness rooms, service cabinets, small offices, and client-facing spaces are one of the three core directions. The concept focuses on visual clarity, atmosphere, and an identity that clients feel when they walk in — adapted to your business type, budget, and what can realistically change.
Yes. Kids rooms and shared spaces are part of the personal spaces direction. The concept is built around the people who use the room — their age, needs, personality, and the feeling the space should create. Shared rooms get special attention to balance multiple personalities and practical constraints.
Turnaround depends on the package and current availability, confirmed before work begins. Typical timelines after all materials are received: Mini Concept 3–5 days, Personalized Refresh 5–7 days, Full Visual Refresh 7–12 days.
Fill out the guided questionnaire, share your photos or references now or later, and receive a visual concept built around you — not a template.
